Four Car Colors

Four car colors ago
Blue appeared
On a good day
When I was feeling vast

His panther paw
foot hit the sidewalk
as I volunteered to
to direct the motion
(although I certainly
did not know
where we were headed);

desperately solo silos
spontaneously together
we paced the planet,
all in good fun
one day and then on into others

soaring round the mountains,
winged sun-drenched Mozart Sundays.

His smile echoes from the Rockies,
beyond the distances
of time and space.
